New Tactile Structure Development sheets
- Developing these tactile structure sheets I am much happier with these sheets than my previous ones I think this is because the narrative is clearer and the pages look more exciting/engaging.
- I also really liked where I layered areas of drawing with imagery and tape over each other in page 3. I think in my previous project I fell out of love with layering and working into pictures so it was nice to practice this technique again.
- My last sheet is a series of pictures of some of my favourite samples photographed; to me it looks boring compared to the rest of the sheets; maybe if these images were more exciting it would be a better page. Or I could of even presented the images in a little book.
First attempt at development sheets which I do not like
Improvements
- On research page make pictures bigger and redo drawings
- Make layout on second page less blank space!
- Change drawing next to illustration and retake pictures of samples so less of a yellow tinge
Neighbourhood Project Development sheets
- I like the consistency of colour in these pages and how it develops throughout like it does in my sketchbook.
- More texture could be added to pages 1 and 3 maybe with some tile adhesive which I have used throughout the project.
- I feel like the pages may have too many body drawings too early and not enough about the textile samples I created which inspired these garments. An improvement would be to insert a page in between 1 and 2 which shows the development of my textile samples and sculptures linking its development to my design development.
- To finish off these series of pages a last page needs to be added of my final garment as I would like to take some professional pictures of this; I hope my final garment represents my research throughout this project well.
